Warner Bros. has announced the first details for a patch update that will be available for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.

The first PC update patch for Batman: Arkham Knight will be rolling out today. It will fix a lot of issues that PC gamers have been experiencing right now.

-Fixed a crash that was happening for some users when exiting the game
-Fixed a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion. We are actively looking into fixing other bugs to improve this further
-Corrected an issue that was causing Steam to re-download the game when verifying the integrity of the game cache through the Steam client
-Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when turning off Motion Blur in BmSystemSettings.ini. A future patch will enable this in the graphics settings menu

Warner Bros. also announced the key areas that are currently focusing on to fix the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. As users may already know, a ton of things about the game are not working. Hopefully within the next few weeks, the game will be playable.

Here’s the areas that are focusing on to fix:

Arkham Knight, a PC game so broken that its publisher Warner Bros. had to withdraw it from sale, was released in June. It’s taken until September, but a patch to (hopefully) fix it is rolling out now.

The update popped up earlier in the week for beta testing, but WB announced today that it’s now available “for those who already have Batman: Arkham Knight for PC”. Note that this doesn’t mean the game is back on sale for anyone holding off; at time of posting, Arkham Knight was still unavailable for purchase on Steam.

Below are the important patch notes:

Reduced frame rate hitches
