Yep, it worked. I ended up having to download the whole thing with CyberGhost running.
That was frustrating, and we should not have to go thru hoops like that to get the game installed.
I was going to head to the official forums, but I can't log in there because they can't verify my character loggin in the last 14 days or something. - Also found this on the Main Boards.

Instead go to steam download the free trial and it will install 8 gb and then you will get the launcher. Sign in and bam done. So the TL DR use steam and get the trial version to download the game. Then if you want move the files somewhere else or whatever. I hope this works for others.

Redownload patches with errors
Right click on the game in your inventory, select properties/ local files tab/ verify the integrity of game cache. This may bring errors in the game integrity. In such a situation all you need to do is to redownload the game. This game should work fine after.
The current boot folder patches, you can download this folder or you can get it from someone who has downloaded it.

Change the number in the bolded line from 0 to 1. This will power the launcher to update itself. Run the launcher and it should update to the newest version. Once updated, you can log in and download the new patch.
