Microsoft Ransomware Patch Download
Two months ago, in an effort to fightback against the WannaCry ransomware, Microsoft took the 'highly unusual' step of releasing a patch for Windows XP, the ancient operating system it stopped. If there are any Vista SP2 users following this thread who are using the built-in Windows Defender anti-spyware scanner, this might also be a good time to mention that there was a patch just.
